Christmas came early for me on Christmas Eve. I finally tied up the
JP Beach Bug in size 6 and hit Blacks from 6-8 am. The perch fell all
over the Bug like it was a piece of candy - if they missed, they'd
keep coming back till they nailed it. I didn't count carefully but I
ended up with easily over 30 perch on the single fly - the fly lost a
leg and most of its body but still kept drawing strikes till the sun
hit the water. A great way to spend a day off - many thanks to Jeff
for a great pattern, a great early Christmas gift!!

Thanks for a really fun day and for the web links. Have already started reading up on the rods and reels. Probably won't be making any purchases until after my older daughter's wedding at the end of month, but really looking forward to practicing all we learned. Will keep you posted on our progress.

I just wanted to thank you for the great lessons and wealth of information that you packed into the four hours and especially for being willing to accommodate my schedule, even if it meant meeting me at 0530 on two mornings.

That was great fun yesterday; I really enjoyed it and learned a lot. Many thanks, especially for your patience. And, it seems like we had a more productive day than anyone else who logged in. So, you made some great calls on where to fish, how long to stay, and how to make the correct presentations.

Hi Jeff,
The flies arrived and they are exactly as I hoped they would be. Thanks
also for the additional two flies. I already have the BMC (ordered a
dozen from you a year or so ago). The 'perch fry', however, is new to
me. I'm looking forward to dragging it through some holes for
halibut. It is about that time of year...
