All Guided trips will be on hold for the remainder of 2010

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Guided Surf Fishing in the South Bay Area: Includes tippet material and all flies used that morning. Booking dates and times are determined by the time and date of tidal flows for the best fishing opportunities.

The purpose of these outings is designed to be an intensive learning session. We will discuss gear, knots, presentation (casting, line control), reading the water for structure, long shore currents, rip currants, troughs, pockets and tidal flow (neap tides verses spring tides).

We will also be fishing together. The surf zone can be very tricky, this will help you

in learning the proper techniques of line control in many different situations.

The idea is to have fun and get the information you need to feel at ease fishing the

surf wherever your adventures take you. With hundreds of miles of coastline to explore

the possibilities are endless!! Your safety and enjoyment is our # 1 concern!

"Important note"

To better serve your needs, if you are new to this sport or are not proficient in casting a sink-tip line at least 60 feet please let me know prior to our meeting on the beach.

There are many aspects of surf fishing that we will cover in a morning, it is very

important to me that you get the most out of our time together.

You need to learn to fly cast before you can learn to fly fish.

We will call or e-mail 2 or 3 days in advance to confirm your day of guided surf fishing.

You never know how "Mother Nature" can change things up,

it's as important to me as it is to you.

(All guided trips will be held on weekends only).

Basic Knot's

Life can be complicated itself, fly fishing doesn't need to be.

Here are some basic knots I use to keep it simple.

No tapered leaders just straight fluorocarbon,

maybe a bite tippet on larger quarry

or toothy critters.

( this does not refer to freshwater)
